Ellwood City won the the Section 7 championship-the first by a Lawrence County team in WPIAL history. Ellwood City edged Sharon, 4-3, in nine innings to win the section with a 7-1 record. Ellwood City recorded an overall 7-2 record. In the WPIAL playoff opener, Aliquippa edged Ellwood City, 6-5. Aliquippa was the eventual WPIAL Champion.
1952

Ellwood City compiles a 23-2 record overall. Ellwood City downed Riverside, 8-1, in the WPIAL playoff opener. Ellwood City defeated Har-Brack, 3-1, in the quarter-finals. Ellwood City downed Montour, 11-2, in the WPIAL semi-finals to reach their first WPIAL title game. Ellwood City downed McKeesport, 4-1, to win the WPIAL Championship at Forbes Field.

Ellwood City won the Section 6 title and compiled a 17-4 overall record. Ellwood City won the section title with a 8-2 record. Beaver Falls defeated Ellwood City, 10-0, in the opening round of the WPIAL playoffs.

Ellwood City captured the Section 6 title with a 9-1 record. Ellwood City recorded an overall season log of 20-2. Rochester edged Ellwood City, 2 -1, in the opening round of the WPIAL playoffs.
1966
Ellwood City won the the Section 6 title with a 9-1 log. Ellwood City compiled a 19-5 overall record. Ellwood City defeated Riverside, 3-0, in the opening round of the playoffs in eight innings. Ellwood City edged Carnegie, 3-2, in the quarter-finals. Kiski Area downed Ellwood City, 7-5, in the WPIAL semi-finals.
1968
Ellwood City won the WPIAL for the second time in school history. Ellwood City won the Section 5 title with an 11-0 record. Ellwood City finished the year with an overall 27-2 log. Ellwood City edged Center, 4-3, in the opening round of the WPIAL playoffs. Ellwood City downed Canon-McMillan 3-1 in the quarter-finals. Ellwood City defeated North Hills, 6-2, in the WPIAL semi-finals. Ellwood City edged Waynesburg, 1-0, in the WPIAL Finals.
1969

Ellwood City won a share of the Section 5 title with Ambridge with a 9-3 record. Ellwood City downed Ambridge, 8-2, to advance to the WPIAL playoffs. Ellwood City ended the year with a 24-7 overall record. In the opening round of the WPIAL playoffs, Ellwood City edged Mohawk, 1-0. Ellwood City defeated Valley, 6-2, in the quarter-finals of the WPIAl playoffs. Bethel Park defeated Ellwood City, 3-0, in the WPIAL semi-finals.
1971
Ellwood City won the Section 5 championship with a 9-3 record. Ellwood City compiled an overall record of 30-7. Ellwood City defeated New Brighton, 7-1, in the opening round of the WPIAL playoffs. Ellwood City downed Frazier, 6-2, in the quarter-fianls of the WPIAL playoffs. Ellwood City snapped West Mifflin North 24-game unbeaten record with a 3-0 win in the WPIAL semi-finals. Highlands edged Ellwood City, 5-4, in the first WPIAL Championship held at Three Rivers Stadium.
1978
Ellwood City won the Section 5 title with a 10-4 record. Ellwood City recorded a 16-13 overall mark. Union defeated Ellwood City, 5-3, in the WPIAL playoffs opening round.

Ellwood City won a share of the the Section 6 title with a 7-5 record along with Blackhawk, Hopewell and Beaver. Ellwood City recorded an overall log of 11-9. Blackhawk downed Ellwood City, 7-2, in the opening round of the WPIAL playoffs.

Ellwood City won the Section 6 championship with a 10-2 record. Ellwood City registered a 16-6 record overall and finished as the #5 team in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette final rankings. Ellwood City downed Plum, 4-2, in the opening round of the WPIAL playoffs. Seneca Valley defeated Ellwood City, 13-1, in the WPIAL quarter-final round. Seneca Valley edged Ellwood City, 4-3, earlier in the season and went on to win the PIAA title and ranked in the USA Today's top 25 final poll.
1996

Ellwood City defeated Brownsville, 3-1, in the opening round of the WPIAL playoffs. Ellwood City downed North Catholic, 7-5, in the quarter-finals of the WPIAL playoffs. Ellwood City edged Yough, 2-1, in the WPIAL semi-final round. Ellwood City edged nationally-ranked Blackhawk, 3-2, to win the WPIAL Championship. Ellwood City defeated Shenango, 2-0, in the PIAA opening round playoffs. Ellwood City downed Hickory, 3-1,in eight innings in the PIAA second round. Ellwood City edged Blackhawk, 3-2, in the PIAA West final. Ellwood City defeated Tamaqua, 3-1, to win the PIAA State Championship.

Ellwood City won its' fifth WPIAL Championship. Ellwood City shared the Section 5 title with a 12-2 record. Ellwood City finished the season with an overall record of 21-3. Ellwood City downed Brownsville, 13-0, in the WPIAL quarter-finals. Ellwood City downed South Fayette, 14-11, in the WPIAL semi-final round. Ellwood City defeated Riverside, 9-7, to win the WPIAL Championship. North Star downed Ellwood City in the opening round of the PIAA playoffs.

Freeport advanced to the state tournament. Ellwood City compiled a 5-4 record overall in playoff competition.
